The "Haunted Collector" (Wed., 9 p.m. ET on Syfy) team were in Ohio Wednesday night, investigating a historic rectory in Sedamsville.
The Northwest Preservation Society had been trying to restore the building but frightened volunteers had been scared off by supposedly paranormal activity.
Several people had reported being bitten or scratched by spirits in the house.
The team found cages and other dog-fighting paraphernalia in the basement of the rectory. After they removed a "break stick," which is used to pry open the jaws of fighting dogs, all paranormal activity in the building ceased and restoration work could be continued.
The ghost-hunting continues on "Haunted Collector," Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Syfy.
